UPDATE! WINNER ANNOUNCED!
Thanks to everyone who submitted here, it was a nail-biter. It turns out that in the last game, there was a 16-16 tie, followed by a 17-9 defeat by TheCodeJunkie. Congrats!
A little history about TheCodeJunkie. He first entered this contest with the following comment:
TheCodeJunkie 2 days ago Wouldn’t mind attending and getting the opportunity to talk to people about Nancy =)
So, he’s going to Las Vegas, and hopefully will get a chance to talk about his Sinatra-inspired web framework! If you catch up with him, he’ll be sporting some CodeBetter/Devlicio.us Schwag, so be sure to hit him up for some, and give him a big ‘ol pat on the back!
Here’s the full results rundown from the competition. Again, congrats to all who entered:

So, in the spirit of March Madness, I’ve decided to choose the winner of the Visual Studio Live! Las Vegas contest single-elimination bracket style. There will be eight rounds, with a few unlucky entries* having to “play in” for the first round.
I’ll start the first round at 12:00 PM EST, with a new round results (decided by rolling a 20-sided dice of course) being announced on twitter @codebetter every 30 minutes. The the final winner will be chosen at 3:30 and announced here. You can follow along, and see your place in the bracket at Challonge!
*I apologize for this, but as my friend said, “that’s how brackets work, son!” Speaking of luck, I recently heard a tale of a hiring manager randomly crumpling up resumes of prospective new hires, and throwing them in the trash saying “I don’t want to work with unlucky people.”
