Clay Shirky has posted a new essay, File Sharing Goes Social.
In it he talks about the adaptations the file-sharing community has undergone in response to the RIAA. The most interesting section (the one you should read) is where he talks about trust as borders. It is applicable to application design as well, since we are social beings and develop applications in a social environment.
