More benefits of WeProgram.NET membership

WeProgram.NET members were recently treated to the flood of GMail invites a few of us had. This is in addition to all the books, software, Xbox games, and more that we give away every meeting!

Are you in the Hampton Roads area? If so, why don’t you stop by for our next meeting on September 14th. The topic is “N-Night - Open Source or Free .Net Tools: NCover, NAnt, NUnit and FxCop.” Paul Laudeman and I will be leading a hands-on exploration of how these tools can help you build better software. Since this will be hands-on, we encourage you to bring a laptop with Visual Studio .Net installed on it, and we will provide the N-family of tools. Those who don’t have laptops are still welcome – you can team up with a laptop-enabled WeProgram.Netter and do some pair programming in good Extreme Programming fashion!

This meeting will be at ESI in Newport News, and starts at 7:00 PM. Get directions here.

I so want to join your UG but I'd have to drive for like 10 hours(? how far are you from NYC?)

Dang it...

Jiho, according to Yahoo maps it would be 7 hours. That's probably a little too far. :)

We're working on videotaping the presentations. I'll keep you updated!

Wow... I may actually make it to this one!! No... really!

I've been looking into NUnit and FxCop the past couple of weeks. Well... when I'm not being bugged to help out on other projects. It's pretty amazing how they want you billable 40+ hours a week but expect you to still bring fresh skills, knowledge, techniques to the project. But that's the life of a consultant. Go figure...
