David Chappell speaking about Indigo - FREE

Wow, free food AND David Chappell? I'll be in Rosslyn on Client site, if anyone needs a ride from that area.

Mid-Atlantic Indigo Developer Event

Thursday, May 12, 2005, 6:00pm-9:30pm
Microsoft Corporation, Conference Rooms 2004, 2006, 2008
12012 Sunset Hills Rd.
Reston, VA 20190

Our Featured Topic -- Understanding Indigo

Indigo is the code name for Microsoft’s new foundation for distributed computing and service-oriented applications. This presentation provides an introduction to Indigo, describing what it is, how it works, and how it fits with existing technologies like ASP.NET web services, .NET Remoting, and Enterprise Services. While some familiarity with .NET is assumed, the target audience includes anybody who's interested in how software development will look in the coming service-oriented world.

Our Featured Speaker -- David Chappell

David Chappell is Principal of Chappell & Associates in San Francisco, California. David has been the keynote speaker for conferences in the U.S., Europe, Latin America, and the Middle East, and his seminars have been attended by tens of thousands of developers and decision makers in thirty-five countries. His books on enterprise software technologies have been published in ten languages and used regularly in courses at MIT and other universities. He is Series Editor for Addison-Wesley’s Independent Technology Guides, and more than 100 of his articles have appeared in various publications. His consulting clients have included HP, IBM, Microsoft, Target Corporation, Stanford University, and others.
