I never got that notice, what else does it say?

It's May 6th and they still haven't even started alot of the underground wiring on the property. I don't know how quick they intend on getting it done, but I haven't been contacted by Time Warner or gotten any flyers or anything. Does anyone have any more info?

Front office isn't answering today... lol.

I stumbled on this discussion rather late, but all the same I'd like to add my two bits worth.

Arguing about whether modern orderly software development practices constitute an engineering discipline is more semantic than practical. I mean, really -- who cares?

When we talk about software engineering we are referring to orderly, systematic, and methodical software development in contrast to informal ad-hoc development (e.g. “code and fix”). If anyone is more comfortable calling this by another name I personally have no problem with it.

But the fact is that the IEEE, the ACM, ISO, the SEI, the PMI, and many other reputable acronyms have adopted the term “software engineering”. The term is now very widely accepted and used, so my suggestion is that we all bite the bullet and accept it.

Even if and its still a big If they get this done in June 1st how long will it be until they get to everyone. I am going to say at least 2 months. Also lets not forget about how they jerked us around and lied to us about startup dates for all of this time. I still and always will regret living here.

Came home to another paper stuck in my door. This time it's from CableNet. A 30 day Notice of Termination of Service. Basically, it says CableNet is getting shut off May 31, and Time Warner is getting turned on June 1.

So now we (Shady Lake) have a date in writing as well.

According to apartmentratings.com someone said they saw a time warner truck here last week. I still haven't seen anything, but who knows. I love the ton of positive reviews on apartment ratings that all sound very similar..lol

I have seen and heard nothing and doubt I will. Only thing I heard was it was further delayed at least 30 - 60 more days from April 1st due to the ground being cold (who knew in ohio in the winter the ground is cold). I called the office and that is what they told me, but I honestly dont buy it anymore. For some reason on appartmentratings.com people defend this place like its their own home or even their child when they know the service is terrible (cable and internet) and people have been getting jerked around and lied to for years. I'm done posting there and I just hope someone sees all of that and stays away. Someone said I cant hurt them and they are probably right, they'll have renters, but I just hope it does some good. Im just going to ride the lease out and that wil be that. I also have something that might be helpful to you but I can not just post it here, if you give me an email and keep it between us I can help you out (I dont know how much, but some).

yes rocky that is true there are mixed feelings about all the big cable providers people hate comcast time warner adelphia, which doesnt exist anymore. But who would you rather get your cable from. A company that is in the business of actually doing cable. or some rip off artists owned by the landlord who when they have problems it says on 10 channels "detected a short in your antenna please reboot your receiver" What the F***** is that shit ever seen a competant cable provider have that issue. F**** no because they atleast do it right.

And this is just bs this waiting and waiting and waiting.

get a lot of the residents in a planned don't pay your rent until it's in pact and you'll see those bastards move faster than you've ever seen them move. Why, because they wouldnt want to have to evict 30 residents if they refused to pay their bill.

They said May, here we are in april. 3 weeks left until may. I have yet to see contractors in putting in cable. Have you?

I called them as well and they said they did not know anything but from previous estimates and a couple of excuses (including the weather, who knew it snowed in march in ohio), will be at least another 60 days. This is at least the 4th time I have heard this and Ive only been living there since the end of summer. Had the typical its coming right away (while signing the lease) to will be here in the fall, to will be here by the first of the year, to March 1st, to 60-90 days from March first (now additional time because it snows in the winter here). I am not believing this at all and I can say when I can go I will be, nothing can make me stay even if (a big IF) they change over because next time something comes up it will take them 3+ years to do anything. Also Time Warner cable is not all that great, I used to have that service, granted its like comparing Steak to dog food with MyEsuite). I have also noticed I no longer have Sports Time Ohio. I remember them saying they were going all HD on April 1st, that might have something to do with it or it could just be something strange with the Indians being on the west coast. I really hate this place.

I just called the front office (because yes all the numbers for MyEsuck are still disconnected). They knew about the outage last night and they finally got a hold of them and had them come out and fix it. I guess we're back up. I'll know for sure when I go home this afternoon.

I asked about TW. They were on the property last week looking at the layout. No word as to when they will be back out to start setting up.
