I'm currently working on a project where I am using the MS Ajax Extensions with JSP (and Servlets). In case you are unfamiliar with the JSP/Servlets technology it's part of that Sun language prototype of C#... I like to think of it as C# -- (that would be pronounced C Sharp minus minus)
(Ok, I'm kidding... really I am.. don't send me mean email or mean comments... I'm just joking).
I'll try to put together an example for this as well. I am adding to my DTAjax library and will be providing an example of how to use this stuff within JSP pages to make Asynch calls to Servlets. I also have a very simple ScriptManager tag that enables the whole MS Ajax Script Framework.
You may be asking yourself "Why??" Well, if you are older like me (I'm NOT 40 yet, but it's a lot closer than I care to admit), you want to learn one library and use it over and over again... (if you work in a corporation of some sort you will find that there are need internal forces wanting to standardize on one library to make it easer for them to replace you).
Anyway, I dabble in the JSP world... I occasionally take a project in that space (by no means would I call myself a Java Expert -- and I prefer .NET jobs)...
Actually I occasionally take a project in any space if it pays me...
