Welcome from "A BizTalk Enthusiast"

Yes, this is another BizTalk Server blog!

Hopefully, the differences between this “end-user“ blog and the other fine BizTalk blogs will become apparent. I am an “End-User” manager/programmer/engineer working on business-to-business integration and business process automation projects for a medium sized company in Houston, TX. I've been using BizTalk Server since it's initial release as BizTalk Server 2000, through it's major upgrade as BizTalk Server 2002 and up to it's current reincarnation (a truly “world-class” integration platform) as BizTalk Server 2004. It's been a fun, exciting, exhausting, frustrating and satisfying journey over the past several years. This journey would not have been possible to take alone and I intend for this blog to be my way of “giving something back“ to the BizTalk Server community as thanks for all the help and support I've received.

In this blog, I plan to present “real-world“ examples of successfull integrations for both BizTalk Server 2002 and BizTalk Server 2004 as I migrate our company's B2B and EAI systems to the current release. Along the way, I hope to show how BizTalk Server can be used by small and medium sized companies, by “newbie” programmers and by (non-programmer) adminstrators, all without loosing your hair!

Sit back, relax and enjoy the show!
