I apologize for not posting sooner but I've been diagnosed with Blogger's “Post” Traumatic Stress Syndrome (BPTSS), otherwise known as “not enough hours in the day to get the work done”.
A few quick notes on what's been happening:
- Built a complete data warehouse / reporting solution for our UK branch in 30 days (and nights) using SQL Server 2000 DTS (Data Transformation Services) and SQL Reporting Services.
- Re-architected our entire BizTalk Server 2004 application structure using a more modular (more info to follow in my next posts) approach which allows us to reuse schemas without having to redeploy entire applications.
- Installed, configured, reinstalled and reconfigured Microsoft Operations Manager 2005 (Workgroup Edition) in order to better monitor local and remote BizTalk Servers / SQL Servers / Web Servers without having to write custom code.
One final thought for the day... “never underestimate the need for end-user training, especially during a business process automation project.”
