Commerce Server 2007: BizTalk Adapters Presentation at TechEd 2006

Caesar Samsi [MSFT] and I will be presenting two 75 minute "Chalk Talks" at TechEd 2006 focused on the new BizTalk Adapters for Commerce Server 2007.

We'll have a few slides but mostly this will be an in-depth demonstration of the new adapters in "real world" situations. We'll be going deep in these demos, looking at how to configure the new adapters, how to map to and from the new message schemas using the BizTalk Mapper tool and how to leverage Excel and BizTalk as a catalog load tool.

Come on out and see a couple of "old guys" demonstrate how Commerce Server 2007 and BizTalk Server 2006 work together as a truly integrated E-Commerce solution.

Schedule: June 13th at 1:00 PM & June 16th at 9:00 AM

Very cool - Is that going to be available via webcast?  I am curious about what you guys come up with!

Hope it goes well!

Thanks

Alan,

Thanks. We'll try to make all your hard work look good!

Check with Caesar about the webcast. I've had a bunch of folks ask me that but I'm not sure who decides which TechEd sessions get webcasts and which don't. Might need to bribe the Channel 9 guy!

I'm going to try to have all my adapter related code available (especially the mapping) for downloading on my blog right after TechEd and I'm sure the slide deck will be available as well.

FarPoint Technologies has released their first beta of the new FarPoint Spread for BizTalk Server 2006. They are actively seeking developers from the BizTalk community to test this beta's capabilities to it's fullest extent. I've been using this for several

Judging from the list here https://www.msteched.com/content/webcasts.aspx it doesn't appear your chalk talk will be webcast, which is too bad.  If anyone records it, please post it for us poor schmucks who can't go.

Thanks.

Can you believe people would rather watch a Vista webcast rather than a really cool Commerce Server / BizTalk Server webcast? I just can't understand it (LOL).

I will be posting my slide deck and sample code after TechEd is over for those of you that are interested.

Tuesday was an incredibly busy day at TechEd 2006. It seemed like at 12,000 attendees arrived at the same time and attended the same sessions. The turnout for some sessions was incredible.
