Commerce Server 2007: MOM Pack Now Available

For those of you currently deploying Commerce Server 2007, Microsoft has recently released their new Commerce Server 2007 Microsoft Operations Manager 2005 Pack better known as a MOM Pack!

If you're already using MOM 2005, this is a great way to pro-actively monitor your Commerce Server applications. If you're not using MOM 2005, this is a great reason to start!

PS: This post was written using the beta Windows Live Writer application. Not too bad for a beta!

I've attempted to install the dev version of CS2k7 on XPsp2 three times now without 100% satisfaction.  I can successfully install the server components/data, but getting the CSharp.pup site to get everything in has been unsuccessful thus far.

I've had to run it in waves, the first attempt get the site in place (in CS), the next run will get the DBs created and the next will lay the web apps down.  After all of this, the tables in the DBs have no data!

What a nightmare.  And the whole time the pup.exe tool doesn't report any problems, nor do the logs hint at any problems.

So, with everything in place but the supporting data, I tried to use the ol' pupviewer to crack open CSharp.pup and get at the .sql that will populate the tables, but I don't think the PUPFILELib interops properly anymore... I'm stuck.

Mr. Coward (interesting alias),

I'd recommend posting this to the microsoft.public.commerceserver.general newsgroup so someone from the product team can help. I've also had trouble getting things to work under WinXP SP2 and have gone back to using my Win2K3 SP1 VPC instead.
