My Topic Proposals for ALT.NET Seattle '09

ALT.NET Seattle is 6-7 weeks away, but it's not too early to think about what we want on the agenda. I enjoyed KaizenConf, but I'm looking forward to skewing the sessions back toward more technical content.

My Topics:

  • Using Language Oriented Programming in .Net
  • Convention over Configuration in Real World .Net Projects and Tools
  • Wringing more productivity out of MVC web development
  • Open Source alternatives to WF and WCF (or at least tools that aid in WCF usage)
What's yours?

Ugh, I agree about KaizenConf. I enjoyed it, but mostly so I could meet folks like you and others (like Matt Hinze).Of course I actually never ended up meeting you, so I guess mission not-accomplished. :)

I thought it was too light on the tech content, but I'm a learner not a teacher right now, so I wasn't comfortable proposing any session topics.

Looks like I picked the wrong ALT.NET conf (I'm from Indianapolis). Maybe some other time. Your session topics sound good!

Yes on convention!

Yes on MVC!

Yes on open source alternatives to WCF/WWF (although I haven't used enough of either to say whether there are serious deficiencies)

LOP looks interesting but at first glance it doesn't look anymore intuitive to me although maybe I'm simplifying it too much.
