TeamCity @ CodeBetter

Have to admit, I wasn’t expecting the popularity of the CodeBetter TeamCity project. The requests have slowed in recent weeks but at last count, there were 35 projects with 51 build configurations. Along the way, I’ve had crash courses in TeamCity build agents, Maven, Git, Rake, Silverlight and have learned more than I care to about working with NAnt in a 3.5 environment.

And that’s just from my own contribution to setting up builds, which has been rather slight compared to the mighty James Kovacs and the undiscountable Derik Whittaker, both of whom have also been working diligently in getting projects up and running.

There are still kinks to be worked out. We’re still talking on the criteria for being hosted and we have yet to decide on criteria for retiring a project since we don’t want to leave dead projects cluttering up the UI.

One of those kinks is a segue to the real reason for this post. I am admittedly lax in keeping up with project requests and I have this nagging fear that some have fallen through the cracks. So if you’ve requested a project for hosting on TeamCity and haven’t had a response, we’re not ignoring you. It’s just that we’re...ummm...not heeding your request...because of...locusts?

In any case, if you haven’t heard from us and still *really* want to be hosted, please re-submit. And if you haven’t submitted a project to be continuously integrated, hit us up.

How does one request to get on CodeBetter's TeamCity? Email? Official form somewhere?

Rob,

Just an e-mail to teamcity at codebetter dot com. Include:

To apply to have us host CI for your OSS project:

   * Register a user account here.

   * Email teamcity@codebetter.com with the following information:

o Your user account name, which you created above.

         o Project name & URL.

o Link to your OSI-approved OSS license.

o URL and type (SVN, CVS, …) of your source control system.

o Build runner (NAnt, MSBuild, Rake, etc.) and default target.

o Any additional requirements you might have.

Details are here: www.jameskovacs.com/.../AnnouncingTeamCityCodeBettercom.aspx

Rock on.

You might want to add artifact paths to that guy.

I added it to my request (UppercuT from ferventcoder).

Greylisted...? Hmmm. Well, hopefully my email gets through.
