You can also get this for free, with the IE engine, in Maxthon; http://www.maxthon.com

Superior to IE (IMHO) AND FireFox (Also IMHO)

Compatible with WindowsUpdate, as well as any other IE required site. Built-in ad/popup-blocking, etc.

Another free tabbed browser that uses the IE enine:
http://avantbrowser.com/
Avant is superion to all (in my humble, but entirley correct, opinion)

I don't understand why folks are all fired up about tabbed browsing in FireFox when it has been freely available in IE for years using addons.

Why bother with these IE add ons? You actually LIKE adware/spyware? Sure, if some sites don't work in Firefox, use IE. Get the "Open in IE" extension. But for crying out loud, why use IE?!?

At least 1.5 billion people don't have a car, don't speak english and don't use computers. For the 1.5 billion users of internet explorer, I bet 90% don't know what spoofing, Active X scripting or browser hijacking is. But if you like those things, use IE.

Get real. Following that logic, I must LIKE transmission failure, since I drive my vehicle with absolutely no clue how to rebuild my own transmission.

Thanks for the advice about maxthon! I have used IE, firefox and Opera and all of them have their pros and cons but the fact is that a number of websites that I go to require IE. Maxthon has all the benefits of IE with a number of the added features of opera and firefox. Plus if you use a good personal firewall, such as zonealarm, and virus protection you should be pretty well protected from any security flaws that IE has.
