First meeting of the Richmond .NET users group is off to a great start

Tonight was the first meeting of the Richmond.NET Users Group, an INETA member user group. Paul Ballard from Rochester Consulting gave a presentation about using GDI+ in the .NET Framework and shared several helpful tips to make the most out of it. Paul also gave a brief overview of Visual Studio .NET “Whidbey” as well as the next version of  next version of Windows “Longhorn.” Pablo Saez from the Richmond Microsoft Consulting Services office was also present and gave a brief introduction to cryptography in .NET. It was quite a turnout and those attending appeared to have a fair amount of knowledge and skill in .NET. At the end of the meeting, several books and software were awarded to those answering a variety of .NET trivia questions.

Th next meeting is schedule for sometime in January and more information can be found on the Richmond.NET website. In addition, you can find technical articles, tips, book reviews, and links to member bloggers.
