The Patterns and Pratices team at Microsoft has released a pre-alpha release of a new guide to building smart client applications called the Smart Client Architcture Guide. While the guide is incomplete in total content at this point, it does offer quite a bit of useful information worth checking out including an overview of smart clients, enabling offline work scenarios, and multithreading concepts.
Most importantly, this is a great opportunity for those of us in the community familiar with smart clients to make sure the guide is as accurate as possible and covers the most relevant topics relating to building smart client applications.
Thanks to Srinath Vasireddy, Program Manager, Patterns & Pratices, for the announcement.
