Can I get any .net developpped library, which gives the same functionality as DSO Framer control. Because the DSO Framer control uses unmanaged code which gives problem in web applications when hosted in clients local machine.

So I need any .net  developped tool to get these functioanlities done. I tried with aspose, but to change the document again we need to change the code, or we have to fight with sumo to make it independent of document format. So please help me in this. You can email me at : aleem076@gmail.com.

I'm using DSO Framer with Excel. I'm trying to figure out how to size and re-size Excel when the frame size changes.

I'm looking for help on the ReSize event in Excel as it pertains to framer.

Also, when I try to set the Width property of the Excel.Application, I get an exception ?

Better use the DockStyle.Fill for the DSO container, that way resizing the container frame will also resize the DSO container without any hassle.

PS: Make sure you use the latest DsoFramer release, being 1.3 (with Office 2007 support) at the moment.

GOTDOTNET website is moved DSOFramer stuff. Please hlp to get the DSOframer( modified). I want to use it in my ASP>net application to open ,edit and save to DB.

I have some problems in the DSOframer , the problems :

1) when I open the word document in the framercontrol (by code in VB6) , sometime the mouse event ont work, and the can't write anything in this document, it look like lock, when I close my program and open it again it working fine.

2) when I open the word document in the framercontrol (by code in VB6) , I can't open any document out site the frammer by code.

Besides i got a minor issue with dsoFramer and Excel. If I hit Save in Excel I do not get the FileCommandEvent whereas with Word it works pretty well (both Office 2007).

I need help on DSOFramer. I am using Excel, MFC and DSOFramer. I am having some painting problems with the DSOFramer. It does not paint properly.

When my code is updating excel and i try to change the activesheet, i get an "Internal Application Error". And once that error occurs, the Excel will not unload from memory if I close the application.

Hi everyone. I'm a web apps developer. I work in Buenos Aires, Argentina.  I'm using the dsoframer control to merge and print office documents. My web app manages office docs and saves them to sql server as blobs, along with other data. I'd like to share code and contribute to enhance the control I have founded very usefull until now.   I am working on hosting excel document in windows form. There are two major issues.

  1. Painting issues when multiple forms are loaded with excel documents loaded in dsoframer control.

  2. events does not fire consistently.

I need help immediately on this. Is there any new version available that i can try out.

Hi dsoframers,

today is fryday and it's almost weekend time. The very pain in the ass problem I found using dsoframer is that internet Explorer (with XP window) refuse to run it even if you set up your IE to run it. I've found it has to be with the information bar of IE that avoids popus and active content like activex controls. I have solved many problems about merging contents of several .doc's and template file and database info into one DOC. But have a terrible pain trying Internet Explorer run this control. Why Microsoft put the flag Not Safe for Scripting to the DSOFramer. Can it be recompiled marking it as Safe for scripting? Thanks a lot for any help. Have all you a good and fun weekend!!!
