My best souvenir of the PDC is meeting so many people and realizing all of us, including all those MS people, are just developers. Some very good, some excellent, others just good. The high level made a very inspiring atmosphere, at other meetings a lot of conversations strand in “I don't understand what you're talking about”, or the usual “bashing MS” bore.
Now that the hype is over it's time to get my sequel organized. I have planned the following :
- I made a lot of photo's and will publish a selection on-line.
- My postings on the PDC need some editing. In the heat of the conference not all of them are quite correct. For instance : “started“ is not the same as “startled“. Just like software, a blog is never finished, just published. And only 6 appear in my “PDC” category...
- VS.NET Whidbey is installed, now it's time to see how well all promises work in reality.
- The greatest enigma before the PDC was Indigo. I'll summarize about the things I have learned it is. And the things it is not.
- I'll give my gameboy a new motherboard with plenty of RAM to install Longhorn. As a new toy.
To be continued, blog on
