The sender part of spam can be funny but this one was the limit. Look what the mail dragged in:

Dear user of Gekko-Software.nl,
Your e-mail account has been temporary disabled because of unauthorized access.
Please, read the attach for further details.
Attached file protected with the password for security reasons. Password is 84422.

Just another of the viri which had managed to get past all filters ? Guess so. The scary part is the sender... thats my own website ...... I hope it's just a trick, use the user's domain to sign the message...

Unfortunately, I have also been seeing several emails returned that have my domain as the sender/return-to address in the last couple of days! It looks like it is a new trend now.

My fear is that other people will get the same message as well... Nobody reported (yet), but that could ruin your bussiness. Let's hope it's just a cheap trick.

Yesterday I received a message from my infrastructure provider (@home) who's suffering with the same problem.

I have the same problem here, but in a slightly different form:

Dear user of "Myfone.nl" mailing system,

Our main mailing server will be temporary unavaible for next two days,
to continue receiving mail in these days you have to configure our free
auto-forwarding service.

In order to read the attach you have to use the following password: 80472.
