The second to worst "Nigerian Scam" email I’ve ever received

You know what I’m talking about, and if you don’t, just scan your spam folder because it’s a safe bet that you’ve got some of these in there.  Check this one out:

FROM THE DESK OF DR.WILLIAM ADAMA.
MANAGER FOREIGN REMITTANCE
DEPARTMENT.
BANK OF AFRICA. (BOA)
OUAGADOUGOU BURKINA-FASO.
WEST AFRICA.

Dear Friend
This
letter must come to you as a big surprise, but I believe it is only a
day that people meet and become great friends and business partners. I
am DR.WILLIAM ADAMA. , currently Foreign Remittance Department Manager
with a reputable bank here, Bank Of Africa (BOA).I write you this
proposal in good faith, believing that I can trust you with the
information I am about to reveal to you. 

 

Did you spot the funny part here?  And for the record, the worst one of these I remember was from a hotmail account and had the guy’s standard email signature at the bottom — with links to his anime/manga club.

    Ah BSG 1980…Flying Motor Bikes, the Really Smart Kid. That was the first time that I remember feeling let down by a TV show.

    I read this at least ten times looking for something that would make it stand out from all the other 419 scams.

    I didn’t notice anything so I now feel scammed out of five minutes of my life.

    I wonder if we’re gonna get a Battle Star Galactica 2010 where there just hanging around on Earth — ’cause I distinctly remember how mad a 6 year old verson of me was because BSG 1980 was lame.
