    Yep… My recent job experience proves it for me. Strip the last semblances of self-direction (“No, you can’t use that tool/approach”) and leave no room for mastery (“Just live within AND add to the technical debt please”) and you end up with a deeply dissatisfied participant regardless of rate.

    BTW – That RSAnimate presentation mode is fabulous! Very compelling and engaging – visual metaphor and speech. I’m going to dig up all of their presentations.
