Eschewing Design Patterns

I’m a pretty big fan of Paul Vick’s blogging.  You don’t need to be a VB.NET programmer to benefit from subscribing to his feed. His latest gem is a perfect example of an insightful blog entry.

A while ago, Paul posted, what I thought was, a very funny and accurate post about “refactoring”. Long story short, “refactoring” is really just “cleaning up your code”.

Along those lines, today I’ve officially stopped using “Design Patterns” in favor of “tricks”.

That’s all.
